with #zaatar aioli

This is a really easy #meze that goes really well with #rakı. These are crispy grilled artichoke hearts. I serve them with aioli because the creamy texture goes perfectly with the crispy leaves. You can find this dish in Lebanon and Israel and other parts of the Levant.
Here is what you need.
prep time: 20 minutes
cooking time: 10 minutes
serves: 4 with other sides
1 can of artichoke hearts, drained
1/4c olive oil
2 tsp. et Oliva Anatolian Spice Blend
salt and pepper to taste
put the artichoke hearts in a glass or ceramic bowl, cover with olive oil, #spiceblend, and season to taste - set aside.
For the aioli
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. et Oliva Stoneground Mustard
3 cloves crushed garlic
2 tsp. et Oliva Za'atar Spice Blend
1/2 cup really nice #oliveoil
1 lemon, juiced
salt and pepper to taste
in a food processor or #cuisinart, start the aioli with the garlic and mustard and blend until smooth.
start adding the olive oil slowly and emulsify. You will start to notice the aioli thicken, alternate with the lemon juice
add the za'atar and salt and pepper
place in a serving dish and set aside
Putting it all together:
get a grill or grill plate nice and hot. Start grilling your artichoke hearts until nice and crispy. Layer into a serving dish and dress with the remaing marinade from the bowl. Garnish with chopped parsley and a bit of za'atar on top
serve alongside with aioli
